Experience

Product Designer

Jan 2022 — Current

Speer Tech

At Speer Tech, I led the design of scalable design systems and UI frameworks that ensured consistency across the product ecosystem. My focus was on accessibility, usability, and clean, component-based interface patterns. I worked cross-functionally with engineering and product leads to improve flows by anchoring design decisions in user needs. Additionally, I supported branding and marketing efforts by aligning product visuals with broader business goals.

Wordpress Designer

Jan 2022 — Current

tcgpr

At tcgpr, I managed and maintained WordPress-based digital platforms, focusing on scalable design systems and strong site performance. My responsibilities included server management, uptime monitoring, and content updates, as well as implementing SEO best practices. I also helped guide content strategy and social marketing to support outreach and brand visibility.

Commercial Photographer

March 2015 — 2020

Self Employed

As a self-employed photographer, I specialized in real estate and commercial portrait photography. My work was featured in outlets like the Toronto Star and Homes Magazine. Managing my own business taught me client communication, project management, and how to deliver on high-quality visual standards consistently under deadline.

Camera

May 2015 - Feb 2020

IATSE667 + Freelance

I worked in the camera department both as a freelancer and as a member of IATSE 667, contributing to several television productions for CTV and CBC. My credits include shows such as Flashpoint, Being Erica, and Da Kink in My Hair, where I gained hands-on experience with on-set camera operations, lighting setups, and production workflows in fast-paced environments.

Hospitality

May 2010 - Feb 2015

Bar Manager

Before transitioning into product design, I spent several years managing bar programs across Toronto and Kelowna. I was the Bar Manager at La Perla in Toronto and Basil & Mint in Kelowna, as well as at multiple other high-volume venues in Toronto. My responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day operations, leading bar teams, curating cocktail menus, managing inventory, and running successful promotions. This experience sharpened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills — all of which I bring into collaborative design work today.

School

Sheridan College

Sept 2019 — 2021

IxD

At Sheridan, I studied Interaction Design with a focus on user experience, interface design, and digital systems thinking. The program emphasized research-driven design, accessibility, and prototyping for both mobile and web platforms. My time there shaped how I approach product challenges — from system scalability to visual clarity — with a practical mindset rooted in real-world problem solving.

NSCAD University

Jan 2022 — Current

BFA Film

At NSCAD, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, specializing in cinematography. The program taught me how to shape visual narratives, direct collaborative projects, and use framing, lighting, and editing to evoke emotion and clarity — skills that continue to influence my design work today.
